A Perth city treasure.

To establish and operate a successful café is a tough undertaking often fraught with a wide-ranging list of complexities and dangers. Throw in curve balls such as covid, endless roadworks and major infrastructure projects and one can only admire the tenacity and determination of any business that can survive let alone flourish in those circumstances.

Yet two young businessmen, Ben Seo and Jack Liao have succeeded where many have failed by establishing not one but two cafés that now have the distinction of satisfying appreciative customers for well over ten years now.

Enter La Veen Coffee, venues that serve only the very best specialized coffees including batch and cold brews combined with mouth-watering food.

La Veen’s King St location has only recently moved, in fact a whole twenty meters to the opposite side of the street. An earthy, rustic yet fresh ambience now greets their list of clients both old and new, but there is much more to this business.

For example, if one ever wishes to hire a top line barista for a special event or function combined with a mobile indoor coffee cart complemented by an enormous selection of finger foods then this enterprise fits the bill.

But there is more. D.I.Y single serve filter coffee that can be enjoyed anywhere anytime by simply having a cup at your disposal is taking coffee lovers by storm. Packed in satchels with up to 14 single origin or bended coffee options to choose from this exciting innovation is a step forward for the industry.

La Veen has a second location in Raine Square with plans for two addition sites in Perth’s CBD and overseas in both Japan and Singapore.

La Veen Coffee can be found at the cnr of King and Wellington St, Perth and in Raine Square, Perth
