Back in time!

Every so often a business pops up that just makes you say, how cool are they. Once upon a time flour mills were the lifeblood of communities and now Mark and Rachel Taylor of Miller and Baker have bought the past to the present.

In 2019 a new local flour mill was created, using a granite stone imported from the USA. Add an amazing commercial kitchen, bakehouse and front of house café and bingo a unique venue is now bringing smiles to all who stumble across its path.

Both Mark and Rachel have come from corporate backgrounds, but it was always their passion to create a mill and bakehouse. Learning the skills of milling in Copenhagen Denmark, Mark constantly focuses in on his passion for delivering not only freshness of products for his customers but where possible source wheat from South West sustainable farms that are free of chemicals and pesticides.

For those that love bread and sour dough straight out of the oven and pastries that just melt in your mouth, this is the place. Combine these delicacies with fresh café style food, snacks with wonderful coffees and one can easily see why Miller and Baker is making a significant and positive impact in the community.

Those who are searching for a range of freshly ground flour to utilise at home this is the place to go including wholesale customers desperate for freshly baked creations. It must be said that the staff here are fantastic including café manager Alex Lowes who takes so much pride in producing the perfect cup for a growing list of coffee enthusiasts.
