Why stop at just one,

When you can establish seven cafes or espresso bars in the one town…

Such a massive undertaking has been achieved by the visionary power of one hard-working family, the Barrett’s after initially opening Mo Espresso in 2013. With barista guru and certified Q Grader, Calvin Tang showcasing his amazing knowledge and experience of coffee and specialty beverages, it is little wonder this organisation is kicking goals.

Six of the businesses are located within Perth’s CBD and one on the coast with the names chosen having a strong connection to the Barrett’s themselves.

Arlo, Balance, Hemingway, Max and Sons, Mo Trinity, Mo Allendale and Jessies at the beach have more than 50 revolving staff making this group a major player within the hospitality scene in WA.

The jewel in this organisations crown and under the personal care of Calvin himself is Hemingway, situated in the Central Park Lobby. This café is truly something special and its sheer size is testament to the volume of happy and satisfied customers that enjoy its offerings.

Through the guidance of Calvin, Hemingway offers a frozen reserve menu of high-grade speciality coffee from Five Senses Coffee Roasters and other select roasters. When combined with a selection of great tasting food and other amazing beverages this classy business becomes a destination worthy of multiple visits.

The end game of all seven venues is to satisfy a wide range of tastes, but one philosophy shines brightly above all else in that all customers come first in the eyes of staff. The result is building a community of like-minded people wishing to enjoy if only for a brief period the pleasures of what great hospitality and coffee can offer.
