Enter the new kids on the block in Victoria Park, Hop Specialized Coffee. The brainchild of university graduates April Chen, Nelson Tsao and ably supported by Yvette Lin, these astute young guns after careful due diligence saw an opportunity in the marketplace to set up a small yet fresh modern café showcasing specialised coffee.
These three have a proud Taiwanese heritage and they offer along with typical café food such as bagels and pastries magnificent traditional foods from their homeland. Wanting to become a point of difference when compared to the multitude of sensational cafes that now have found this local strip their home, customers should be proud with the amazing coffees Hop have pulled together.
Beans from roasters such as Antz, Pound, Offshoot and Brightside already are featured and as the days and weeks go by many more guest roasters will find their way into Hop. The home and office coffee lovers have not been forgotten as roasted beans are also available for takeaway.
Hop already is building a great connection with the local community and considering they have only been operating since April of 2022 it is a credit to the determination these hardworking new players that they are making their mark within the specialised coffee scene of Perth.
Their enthusiasm to please is infectious, as are the smiles they offer when customers enter. The ability to understand that a quality coffee is a joy that so many people are craving should propel Hop to become a house old name in the years to come.
